Hidden around the island, Jay and I spent the day basking in the sun at Prah nang beach. This was so incredible because we were at the beach with limestone cliffs meters from where we were swimming. It was almost too hot to sun bake so most of the time was spent in the clean turquoise waters

For someone with a fear of heights/ falling the climb up to this point was not a fun time. This is because we were climbing up through tree roots, bare foot In the mud no stairs or proper trail just up the man made steps on the mud. I was not a popular person for the hour round trip but (I think) once Jay saw the view it was all worth it!

A day in Rai Lay
It’s rare in Thailand to find hidden gems but this one is still a relatively new find. We arrived in Railay East and I felt like I was back in Halong Bay. This island draws many world class free form rock climbers as you can see why with these cliffs surrounding the beaches and scattered on the island.
Date night
I have taught Jay the trick to choosing delicious places to eat. They might not necessarily be the prettiest, in fact they generally have plastic chairs and tables, and no decor but locals cooking each meal fresh from scratch. So we’ve been dining out at some questionable places but eating some mouthwatering food for pennies! So tonight we decided to have a proper date at a nice restaurant and boy did we score! Satay chicken, lime and chilling fish and amazing mango sticky rice to top it all off! Plus Jay was finally up to drinking again so we indulged in some cocktails!
Ao Nang; Krabie
Krabie has been a place that backpackers along the way had told me about and that I particularly wanted to explore. Ao Nang is a beach which is apart of it and the easiest point to jet across to Railay beach (my particular point of interest). We wandered around and found a room 30 seconds walk to the beach down an alley way, later that night when the bars opened up we discovered that 1. These bars play live music till 2am and we basically have the “best” seats in the house and 2. Our air conditioner was broken and as a result almost shook the room with noise. Earplugs would have been a GREAT thing to have packed! But the beach was beautiful and even though we had a serious afternoon storm hit (we witnessed a huge tree branch falling down only 10 meters in front of us) I’ve taught Jay Ariff and so we’ve contributed our card battle (of which I won…again! =D)
