The Viking Caves where birds nests are collected to be made into birds nest soup. There are a few people still living in these caves today. And the bamboo sticks are used to climb up so they can collect the nests (which might I add ate made by the birds spit- this soup is almost a delicacy though, one I begrudgingly tried in Bangkok)
